What the $30 includes

A member of the team, not a plugin.

  • An email address of his own. You invite him from the product you already use, the same way you invite a person. No plugin to install and no list of supported apps.
  • He joins the tools himself. He opens the invite, fills in his identity and signs in. If a step needs a person on your team, he stops and asks.
  • Any software a person can use. A current product, the internal tool from 2012, or a portal that will never have an API. If a person can accept the invite and work in the browser, so can he.
  • The tasks you assign. You give him work where you already give people work: a card, a ticket, a comment, an email. He answers there.
  • A correction that sticks. Tell him once, in a comment, and that fix becomes part of how he works. It stays with the company.
  • A record of the work. Every attempt is kept: what he tried, whether it worked, and what it cost. Once a month you get that as a report, per Copyboy.

What you get

The routine, taken off the team.

The inbox

A named Copyboy with his own address. Send him the invite from Salesforce, Monday, Pneumatic, or the tool that has no integration page. That address is how the rest of the company talks to him.

The work, done in place

CRM fields filled in, tickets tagged and drafted, a Slack decision turned into the ticket and the workflow, vendor forms and checklists completed, owners reminded, the weekly brief written into the doc you use.

The monthly report

One page for the person who pays: which Copyboys, which tools, who asked, what got done, and what it cost. Milton and Jared are the same price. The report is where their work comes apart.

What stays yours

Access you can take back.

  • Only the tools you invited him to. He does not wander into software you never added him to. Remove him from one the way you would remove a colleague, and that access is gone.
  • Every action on the record. The activity list shows the attempt, the outcome and the cost. Nothing he does is invisible to the account.
  • Keys and passwords encrypted. What he uses to sign in is stored encrypted in your account, and a key is only ever shown masked.
  • He stops where a person should. A CAPTCHA, a single sign-on wall, or a hardware key is handed to someone on your team. He does not bypass the security of a product.
